Can you really feel fantastic about how you look and enjoy excellent holistic health? Unequivocally, yes, and it is easy to achieve. You just have to want to heal, refresh and remedy anything in you that does not foster holistic health and well being.
A great place to start is with what you eat. What you eat will affect the cells in your body, the function of your organs, the health of your blood and the activity of your brain. You can remedy many symptoms of pending ill health through diet adjustment.
The quality of your health depends on the quality and vitality of your cells. The three ingredients for healthy cells are oxygen, water and the ability to eliminate waste. The secret is to keep your cells in top condition. If they struggle from lack of an adequate supply of oxygen, from lack of correct nutrition, from impoverished blood quality and from the effects of aging, your health will inevitably suffer.
Your blood is the river of life for your cells. It transports oxygen and nutrients to the body and, together with the lymph system, eliminates waste. Elimination of toxins from the body is paramount for optimum health and well being. So let’s address the issue of diet.
The human body was never designed to eat meat, nor was it meant to consume dairy products. Do you realize that humans are the only species whose adults consume maternal milk – and that, not of its own species, but the milk of animals lower down the food chain? Even adult cattle do not drink bovine milk!
Do you realize that in eating meat you are consuming food that is well advanced in the process of rotting, of breaking down in decay? Micro organisms abound in decaying meat, and these can cause health problems in humans, causing fermentation and putrefaction in the digestive system, resulting in poor health and increased levels of toxicity.
So what kind of diet is the healthiest for human consumption? Vegan! Fruit, vegetables, nuts and all live foods, that is, unprocessed foods. Choose raw fruit and vegetables where possible, or lightly cook hard foods but try not to over process in cooking. Fresh is best every time. Fruits and vegetables in season offer the very best and healthiest nourishment for the human body. Nuts and dried fruits are also a tasty treat, taken in moderation.
Avoid processed foods, fast food, animal products, including meat, eggs and milk products. No meat? You exclaim. No dairy, no cheese, no milk and no eggs? Well, as someone who has followed a vegan diet for many years, I can absolutely vouch for feeling fresh, vibrant and healthy every day.
It may take a while to get used to eating fresh and drinking mainly water in preference to coffee, tea and sodas. But your effort will reward you a thousand times over. If you follow a vegan diet, which actually offers a huge selection and variety of choice, you need never, ever, worry about gaining weight again.
Because you will be eating natural foods that your body easily digests and appreciates, your blood will carry life to all your cells and your body will age less quickly. Your brain function will reach higher levels of clarity and alertness. You will soon begin to feel fantastic physically, emotionally and mentally.
Our health is truly a holistic and complex system and the purity and energy of our food intake will impact us on every level. Through our vegan diet we will have huge amounts of energy to direct to whatever we may be doing, we can concentrate more easily, sleep more deeply and have pride and delight in our physical appearance and stamina.
So the answer to being overweight or lethargic is not really difficult at all. Make a simple change to fresh fruit and vegetables, add in a few special treats from time to time if you like - on a special occasion; drink fresh water in preference to anything else, though herbal teas are delicious and offer dozens and dozens of flavors from which to choose, and toss in a regular amount of exercise. Mix well.
Why not give the vegan diet a try for say ten weeks? Once the toxins in your body are released and eliminated with this fresh diet, you will feel fantastic, full of energy and more alert than ever before. Others will look at the new you and marvel at the change for the better! It’s up to you.
