• Synchronized Lovers

Let's consider the delightful topic of soul mates; two people who at some level of their being, have agreed to meet up on this plane, in this life, for a specific purpose. A relationship with someone who loves us just the way we are, no judgment and no seeking to control or dominate in any way, but to share an inevitable destiny that works for our desired empowerment and purpose. However, many of us conjecture, in the confusion and grind of daily life, that such a love could never be for me.
Our definition of soul mate we can take to the next level of sharing too: that wherein two people look in the same direction, pursue the same dream or share a similar life quest and purpose. Always in life, there are multiple levels of shared experience. Love can and does express in mysterious ways and we each, in living according to our light, follow our life path and purpose.
I have seen people grieve for years that they have never found true love, and they have given up hope of ever having that joy. If you are sad and can relate to this feeling of loss or of having missed out, please reconsider your options. Your life has a specific purpose; you have a destiny, you choose and create your experiences in life, and even if you never find your desired mate, you are the source of your happiness, no-one else. Bear that in mind. Do not wait for another to come into your life and expect them to make you feel complete. It does not work that way. Just start loving more and see what transpires!
Nothing and no-one can ever prevent you from being the one who loves and shares that love with all in your world, and let me say up front, that the love you are able to receive from another is limited to your capacity to give love in the first place. Start loving yourself, appreciating your own beauty and expanding your capacity to love.
You don't need me to tell you how extraordinary you are and how deep your feelings go – your heart is larger than the universe, you just have to love it into being that big. As you become a burning ball of love, standing in the power of who you are, love will gravitate to you, it must, and it will present in the best way for you in your life.
For our present purpose, however, let's focus on attracting a real partner with whom, for whatever length of time, we can share our love and our life.
As I write, the Beijing Olympics have just started. The spectacular opening ceremony has introduced the new Games. What will transpire in these games, you the reader, will know, from your future vantage point. The reason I bring up this momentous event, is that one of the Olympic sports is synchronized swimming. Have you ever watched this performed?
The symmetry and beauty of the performing couples is nigh perfect; we watch, spellbound at the beauty and synchronization of the swimmers' routines. They seem to think as one, move as one, yet each is perfectly separate, individual, and always aware of the other. They know exactly what is their role in the routine; their awareness of their partner locks them together and they move as one; the outcome is as close to perfection as we could hope to see.
Now transpose this analogy to the soul mate scenario. For the delight and the comfort of the experience, you would like to connect with your soul mate, you would like to join with the love of your life. If at this time, you are longing to find the one, your search will inevitably take you to the right place and time for the fulfillment of the experience you desire. The person you seek has already resolved to meet up with you in this life, at a higher level of being – hence soul mate. In following your life plan, everything and everyone will come to you at the right time and in the best way.
They are searching for you as much as you for them. Like magnets, the seemingly random efforts you each make to find the other, oftentimes without remembering your pact to meet up, are actually drawing you closer and closer. Wherever this relationship takes you, your awareness and love for the other will make that relationship a thing of beauty and power.
I leave it with you, that to the extent that you work on yourself to become the kind of person that you would like to meet and love, your lover will turn up in your life, if that is your true destiny. The moment your two spheres of energy intersect, the lock will click and the synchronized dancing will begin.
